David Comery
General Manager

David has been in the hotel industry for over 30 years managing hotels around New Zealand and also in Fiji and Africa. Nearly 20 years managing Waipuna means that he has intimate knowledge of the hotel and its' clients. David's active involvement in the Auckland Hoteliers' Association, NZ Convention Association, Mitchell Corp NZ, Auckland University of Technology's Hotel School, and a number of local community associations demonstrating Waipuna's culture of corporate citizenship.

David Forgie
Executive Assistant Manager

Dave started his career in hotels in Vancouver in 1985, where he worked in various positions in Rooms Division. He started with Waipuna in 1991 and has worked his way from Reception to Executive Assistant Manager, via 8 years as the hotel Accountant and 7 years as Rooms Division Manager.

Christian Pulley
Group Food & Beverage Manager

Christian joined the Waipuna in 2012 from the Stamford Plaza Auckland, where he had been Director of Food and Beverage for six years. Prior to this he has worked as Food & Beverage Manager for a number of international hotel companies, including Outrigger Resorts and Castle Hotels.

Patricia Haddock
Finance & Administration Manager

Pat has held numerous accounting positions in the hotel & tourism industry both in New Zealand and Overseas. She graduated with an accounting degree from Waikato University and is CA qualified. She has worked for several Hotel chains including Hyatt, SPHC and Rydges. Her most recent Hotel position was as Area Financial Controller for Rydges New Zealand.

Ajay Zalte
Executive Chef

Ajay has worked in leading hotels and restaurants worldwide including in England, Europe, Dubai and of cause his country of birth, India. He has been fortunate to work with some leading international chefs and to have served some very food-savvy celebrities and has not only provided him with experience but also allowed him to enjoy so many interesting cultures and culinary preferences.
